Discover The Various Degrees And Severity Of Hemorrhoids
As you may already have been aware -- hemorrhoids come in various sizes and shapes, and how intense they are also can vary significantly from case to case. Because of this, there's a way to differentiate between the different degrees of hemorrhoids. By knowing and understanding how minimal or severe hemorrhoids may be, you'll be able to appreciate just how much of a difference there is!
Before we go into that, there are a number of things that you need to be aware of though. Firstly, the various 'levels' of hemorrhoids would just apply to internal hemorrhoids (i.e. those that have formed inside the rectum). External hemorrhoids (as yet) don't really have a specific system to assess how severe they are, and the difference needs to be very clear.
More importantly however, there is one term that you should find out about, and that's 'prolapsed hemorrhoids'.
In case you've heard of this before, great, but if you haven't then you need to learn that prolapsed hemorrhoids are basically just internal hemorrhoids that have grown and been pushed outside the anus itself. Because of this, they look like growths extending from the anus itself, plus they can bleed and be extremely painful at times.
Anyway, now that we have covered that, listed below are the four degrees of internal hemorrhoids:
1. Grade 1
As far as hemorrhoids go, these are the mildest and consist of hemorrhoids that do not prolapse. That means that they remain as internal hemorrhoids but might bleed when aggravated. Generally speaking, the majority of hemorrhoids are within this grade, and some may even pass totally unnoticed by people who suffer from it.
2. Grade 2
In contrast to Grade 1, Grade 2 hemorrhoids do prolapse, but then they reduce in measurement very quickly afterwards. So while you might have a prolapsed hemorrhoid for quite some time, it's going to shrink and reduce in size until it practically isn't there at all.
3. Grade 3
Next in line would be the kind of hemorrhoids that do prolapse, but do not reduce straight away. In fact, they need to be 'manually' reduced, through various procedures, treatments, and other things. All said and done, this s really blasted as it's going to require you to tackle the hemorrhoid as quickly as possible.
4. Grade 4
Last, but definitely not least, is the most severe variety of hemorrhoid -- and this is of the kind that can't be manually reduced. Sadly, this leaves you with few options, and it is extremely difficult... to say the least.
Do you see how the completely different degrees of hemorrhoids can differ significantly? Being aware of the various types of hemorrhoids which might be out there, and improving your understanding in general will definitely be of help to you as you fight your own hemorrhoids!
