I Don't Want To Face A Cluttered House. Organize My Home In Four Simple Steps
You look around at the piles of mess all over and call out "I wish somebody would help me organize my home". Sorry, there is no 'magic fairy' that is going to declutter your house for you while your gone. You're going to need to do it yourself, and you can do that with a plan. When you've your plan in place, simply a little time spent every day will get your home organized and help to keep it that way in no time.
Your obvious motivation for organizing your home is to feel good about walking in the door at the end of a tough day at work. You do not wish to face a messy house. Think of this motivation as being your "WHY" question - Step 1.
Fix yourself a time that you are going to work on organizing your house. You can start with 15-20 mins every night, or dedicate one day on the weekend to do this. If you spend a little time every evening starting out, you'll find that it doesn't actually take that long, and you will begin to see your home beginning to look organized sooner than you thought. A simple example would be to grab towels or laundry as your heading in the way of the laundry room and put it there. See? One pile already taken care of. That is your "WHEN" question - Step 2.

You can begin in the most cluttered room and work your way to the least-cluttered room, or go from the least-cluttered to the most. You may want to begin in the room that everybody sees when they come to visit. The selection is up to you, but you have to find a room to start in. This is your "WHAT" question - Step 3.
Going through your belongings is a personal objective. Look at what you have, whether you actually use it, or is it anything that you have just kept. If you've no plans for it, haven't worn it in a while, or don't fit into it any longer, maybe you should think about donating it or having a yard sale. When you are at this step, use containers, plastic bags, whatever you have handy. Separate the items, put them in boxes, gather them up, and get them out the door. That is your "HOW" question - Step 4.
Following these four easy to do steps will get things so straightened up that you'll no longer be standing there after a hard day at work calling out "I wish someone would assist me organize my house". You will be coming house and enjoying a peaceful evening doing what you want to do.
